Lucille Mary (Crivello) Sobania completed her journey in life and went home to the Lord on October 7, 2021 at the age of 83.. She was born in Monterey, Ca. on January 3, 1938 where she lived and enjoyed the Peninsula all of her 83 years.
Lucille was a devout Catholic and worshipped regularly at the San Carlos Cathedral. She was also a member of the Italian Catholic Federation and loved going to their fundraisers and functions where she reveled in socializing with other members and friends. Lucille loved cooking Italian food for others, enjoyed hosting dinner parties, and generously shared her recipes with others. Family and friends enjoyed hearing her tell Italian stories, old and new, of life on the Monterey Peninsula, almost as much as she loved telling them. She loved her dogs and they were her constant companions whom she spoiled greatly. Getting together with family and friends were her greatest pleasures. She belonged to a Bunco group for over 20 years and looked forward to attending each game. Lucille took pride in her appearance and was always dressed very fashionably, often seen wearing a complementary broach which she became known for.
She is survived by her siblings, Ratzio (Ratzi) Sobania of North Carolina and Cheryl (Gary) Hofsheier of Seaside, her nieces, Chantel (Steve) Chiapetto of San Ramon and Jolee (Peter) Purol, nephews, Garylee Jr., Vincent Hofsheier and Anthony Hofsheier all of Monterey. She is also survived by Goddaughter and cousin, Linda Plescia of Prunedale, along with many other cousins.
Lucille is predeceased in death by her parents Peter and Rose Sobania, brother Vincent Crivello, niece Sylvia Mancuso, and sister-in-law Rene Sobania.
She will live on through our memories of her.
