Obituary of Horace Rappa

Horace "Ratzi" Rappa passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on January 8, 2016. He is the son of Guiseppe and Serafina Rappa of Monterey. He graduated from Monterey High School in 1948. After graduating he started fishing with his father Guiseppe and later went to work for Luce Meat Co. for 35 years. He met the love of his life Dolores and were married in 1952. They had three sons, Joseph (Barbel), Anthony and Paul, and six grandchildren, Jonathan (Christy), Ashley (Michael), Haley, Antonio, Paul and Ryan, and many Nieces and Nephews, two great grandaughters, Sophia and Amelia. Horace has a sister Anna Bruno (Stoney) and brother, Joe (Penny) Rappa. Horace was preceded in death by his parents; Guiseppe and Serafina Rappa, and sister Francis Crespo. He was a member of the ICF and Festa Italia. We want to thank Dr. Thomas Bradley and Dr. Shehab Saddy as well as the Visiting Nurses Association for their special care.
