Very late, but my condolences to the family. Mr. white was my 5th grade teacher at Foothill elementary in 1980. He left such and impression on me and was such an impactful teacher that the thought of him crossed my mind at least a few times per year. Tremendous, meaningful life.

This is hard. I didn’t know Mr. White passed away until today, several weeks later. I’m truly saddened to hear he is gone. Mr. White was my teacher in the 60’s, and he also taught my children. Throughout the years, I would see him around town, first as a teenager at my first job; then as a young adult when I worked as an aide at Foothill, and finally as a mom meeting with him about my children’s progress in his class. He would always have a kind word, call me by my maiden name, and we would talk and laugh together about our shared memories from Foothill.
I offer my sincere condolences to his family. He was a wonderful person, a great teacher, and I am so very grateful that I knew him. He was dear to me and to my family.

My name is Linda McMenimon and my first year of teaching was as a 4th grade teacher at Foothill School 1992-93 school year. Bill was welcoming, so supportive and a wonderful role model for teachers and students alike. He was a great asset to the teaching profession and I’m sure made his family very proud! Offering my sincere sympathy.

Bill had a such a great sense of humor and was so proud of his family--he absolutely beamed when you spoke of you Barbara, Danelle, and David (and cars and biking!). I will always be grateful to him for teaching me the best way to remove bird poop from my car without causing any damage through to a very detailed demonstration and explanation. My sympathies to you Barbara and your family- my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Mr. White was one of the favorite and best teachers my children ever had. I was privileged to volunteer in his class and also teach with him at Foothill. I will always value him and feel his loss.

The Earthly World has lost a great man. Mr. White was one of the most kind-hearted, loving and giving people I have ever known, and he was an outstanding teacher. Mr. White is the reason I went into teaching! During my teaching career, I would often ask myself, “What would Mr. White do in this situation?” He introduced his students to literature, gave them a love for reading, provided them with skills they could use throughout their life and gave us a love for learning. Many of the books he read to us in class, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Stuart Little, Charlotte’s Web and so many more, are the ones I read to my students. I can remember going back to see Mr. White after I graduate from college, received my teaching credential and got my first job. He greeted me each time with his traditional “Miss Heaton” and beamed with pride when I told him that he was the reason why I went into teaching. There is a special place for you in Heaven Mr. White; thank you for being you! My deepest condolences to his family. Rest In Peace Mr. White. Cindy Heaton

Bill was great teacher, friend, and most of all a great guy. He cared and respected his students and in return they respected him. My kids had him and still say he was the best teacher they ever had. I worked with him and he taught me so much. His advice was always very helpful. I would have never been the teacher I was without him. He really was an asset to all he touched.
Rest In Peace Mr. White
