What a warm, accomplished, and inspiring man. Miguel was both a gentle man and a gentleman. He spoke softly yet had an enthusiasm for life, with a lively & jovial personality. Definitely an inspiration to everyone who knew him!
I will miss his presence and his friendship, though his memory will long live on.

Always thoughtful Miquel (on the right next to Barbara) has his hand on Brandon's shoulder (his musical neighbor from the cabinski). This small gesture helped closed the group photo to include us all in a wonderful afternoon of music, food and celebration of each other. Miquel had the ability to make us all feel comfortable and welcomed when we were around him.

Barbara, Miguel went into the night in the same way he lived his life in the day .... a great and gentle lover of God and his fellow man but yet a righteous fighter up until the end. What a testimony! He knew God's grace and mercy that came to shape his life by giving him a noble aim that allowed Him to be "more than a conqueror" in Christ Jesus. He has finished his course on that upward way, surely scaling the heights that elevated his view that few have trodden. He has now entered the courts of our God and King and can now see clearly the God who has courted him all these days of his long life. We love you Barbara and stand with you in this challenging yet meaningful time. Carl and Maureen

Mr. Mejia was my 1980-1982 WJHS Ski Club advisor. We couldn't have had a better person to lead us on and off the slopes. What a blessing it is to see he continued on in the same gentle and active ways through his retirement years.
