Obituary of Engelbert Romero

Gilbert Romero, 50, died on May 27th, 2022 due to cancer at Westland House in Monterey, Ca. Born on September 14th, 1971 in Rosario, Cavite, Philippines, he immigrated to the United States on May 25th, 1985 and has been a long-time resident of Seaside, Ca. Gilbert was known to be very hard-working and the thrill of fishing and a good poker game always excited him. His outgoing personality was infectious as he had many loyal friends. He is survived by many family members including his parents: Eddie and Minda Romero, his brothers Eddison and Marvin Romero, his sister Louella (Stephan) Sumler, his uncles, aunts, cousins and many nieces and nephews. The Romero family would like to express their greatest love and appreciation for Lisa Brom and Judy and John Nichols as well as the doctors and nurses of the Westland House for taking care of Gilbert during his final days. Please join the Romero family for a Memorial Mass on June 30th, 2022 at 4pm at Saint Francis Xavier Parish.
