Obituary of Stanley Chonacki

Mr. Stanley P. Chonacki Jr., age 68, born April 21, 1948, passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2017. Stanley was preceded in death by his daughter Alison Chonacki and is survived by his wife, Christine and her family. Stanley was born in Newark, NJ and raised in Reno, NV. After graduating high school, Stanley entered the Army. He retired as a Master Sergeant after 22 1/2 years of service and was proud of the service and contributions he made. Upon retirement from the Army, Stanley worked for the CA Department of Corrections at Soledad Prison and Salinas Valley Prison, he retired after 13 years. After retiring, Stanley was an avid fisher and hunter. He also enjoyed playing cards and having lunch with friends as well as visiting his local Marina Starbucks. He was a loyal loving husband, father and a great friend to all who knew him. Funeral Services with military honors will be held Friday, March 31, 2017 at 4:00pm at the Santa Rosalia Chapel within the San Carlos Cemetery in Monterey. Private family burial will take place at San Carlos Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be in his memory to a charity honoring disabled veterans.
