Obituary of John Rogers

John D. Rogers, Jr., known simply as 'Johnny,' passed away March 15, 2017 at Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula after a long illness. He was 63. He was attended by family members and wonderful care givers, especially the palliative specialists. Johnny is survived by three grown children, Shannon, Timothy and Erin, and siblings CeCe Grubbs, DeDe Rogers-Hutzler, Mike, Peter and Bill Rogers, and numerous nieces and nephews. Johnny lived most of his life on the Peninsula and graduated from the then Robert Louis Stevenson School. Most recently he lived in the Big Sur area. A memorial service will be held at Monterey's San Carlos Cemetery Chapel on April 13th at 2PM. Service Information
