Obituary of Joseph Meyer

Resident of Marina Joseph Walter Meyer was born in Chicago to Walter and Frances Meyer in 1932. Drafted into Korea and then re-enlisted for Vietnam, he was a career Army veteran from 1952 to 1978. He married his beloved Gloria at the Presidio of San Francisco in 1968. He loved his country, sports, music and laughter. He earned his Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts and was a published poet. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Mary Ann Henson. Survived by his devoted wife Gloria and several loving nephews and nieces. He loved Marina and passed away on January 28th, 2017. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, February 3, 2017 (TODAY) at 11:00am at St. Jude Parish in Marina followed by burial with full military honors at San Carlos Cemetery in Monterey.
