Obituary of Linda Louise Mondragon

MONTEREY, CA - Linda Louise Wood Mondragon died Saturday Morning peacefully, surrounded by her Loving Family. Linda was born in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina to John McKinley Wood and Bessie Teeters. She had seven loving brothers and sisters - John McKinley Wood, Foster Wood, Robert Wood, Ruby Butler, Joan Brown, Carlene Clore and Edna Mondragon. Linda Graduated from Walkertown Highschool in Walkertown, NC. Shortly thereafter, at 17, Linda set her sites on an adventure toward the Central Coast of California. It was then, on a beach in Pacific Grove, she met the love of her life. After seven days, they married and remained married for 62 years. They proceeded to create a beautiful Life and Family together, which they cherished deeply. During the earlier years, Linda worked in the local Canneries on Cannery Row. She was an avid homemaker and volunteered countless hours through various charities across the Monterey Peninsula. In addition, she was also a member of the Catholic Daughters Association. Linda had a great passion for her beloved Rose Garden, cherished every moment with her Grandchildren, and thoroughly enjoyed taking in all the beauty the Peninsula had to offer. More notably, frequent visits to Asilomar Beach, Lover's point, and Big Sur. Paul and Linda had four children ~ Paul Mondragon Sr., Daniel Mondragon Sr., Dia Linda Mondragon (predeceased) and Jon McKinley Mondragon. Grandchildren; Michael Vierra, Carolyn Vierra, Jason Mondragon, Daniel Mondragon, Jr. and Laurissa Mondragon. Six Great Grandchildren, Jacey Talley, Avery Mondragon, Cameron Talley, Julian Mondragon, Braydon Mondragon, and Bryson Mondragon. Service Information
