Obituary of Suzy Sharp

Susan H. Sharp of Pebble Beach, CA died at 3:05 PM, Wednesday, December 21, 2016 surrounded by her family and friends at Community Hospital of Monterey Peninsula after a long fought battle with breast cancer. She was born August 8, 1954 in Ilocos Norte, Philippines to Henry and Nieves Howard. She married her loving husband Michael Andrew Sharp on February 17, 1990 in Pebble Beach California and he survives her. Also surviving are her daughter Crystal Mei Quintana of Manteca, CA and twin sons, Edward Victor Sharp and Thomas Michael Sharp of Pebble Beach and her six beautiful grandchildren to Enrique & Crystal Quintana: Brittany E. DeSantiago, Joshua Justice Quintana, Analeigh Cassidy Quintana, Ethan Luke Quintana, Sophia Isabela Quintana and Micah Andrew Quintana. Suzy was a long time resident of Monterey County moving there in 1970 having spent some of her memorable years on the island of Oahu. She graduated from Hartnell College with an Associate Degree In 1992. Suzy passed her Real Estate Exams which led to a very successful and respected career with many awards and notable achievements. Suzy was very well known and respected in her local community. Suzy had a zest for life that was unequaled and was considered by all of her friends to be "the life of the party" and "the glue that held them all together". During her courageous 3 1/2 year battle with breast cancer she was determined not to allow her circumstance to rob her joy of life and she always made the most out of each day. This led to spending countless weekends with her husband and two sons traveling the country, visiting family, friends and loved ones. She had a true appreciation for the outdoors and loved taking her morning and evening walks along the most breathtaking California coastline of Pebble Beach and Carmel where she loved to sit and watch the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Suzy didn't take life for granted and was well aware of how blessed she and her family were. She was a loving mother who always involved herself in her children's lives and supported, respected, honored and loved her husband unconditionally. A vigil service will be held Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at 7:00pm with visitation beginning at 6:00pm at San Carlos Cathedral, 500 Church St., Monterey. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, December 29th at 9:30am also at the cathedral with burial following at San Carlos Cemetery.
