Obituary of Ralph Scholink

Ralph Prosper Scholink went to be with the Lord on July 16, 2016 Ralph was born on September 11, 1920 to Camil and Renei Scholink of Canton, Ohio. He graduated from McKinley High School and then Canton Business School. He went to work for Timken Roller Bearing Company, and during that time met his future wife, Catherine at a YMCA dance. He served his Country in the US Navy during World War II from 19452-1945, and married Catherine on January 14, 1945. After serving in the Navy during WWII, Ralph attended Miami University and graduated with a business degree. After graduation, Ralph and Catherine moved to California where Ralph worked with the County of San Diego Auditors office. They then moved to Carlsbad, CA, where he was Finance Director for the city, and later moved to Carmel Valley and worked with the City of Seaside as Finance Director for many years until his retirement. Some of Ralph's hobbies included: Boxing, working out, motorcycles, camping, gardening, playing tennis and his dog Corky. Ralph is survived by his wife of 71 years, Catherine Scholink and his three children, Linda, Larry(Shonna) and Ron and 6 grandchildren Matthew, Meagan, Nathan, Mia, David & Anna. The Family would like to thank all those who part of his life and cared for Ralph along his journey and the staff at The Cottages of Carmel and Hospice of the Central Coast for the exceptional care provided.
