Brandon Hardisty

Obituary of Brandon Hardisty

Brandon Ronald Hardisty passed away March 29, 2016 much to the shock and sadness of his family and friends. He was born at Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas on April 5, 1967 and moved to the Monterey Peninsula shortly thereafter at 2 months old. A lifelong resident of Carmel Valley and a 1985 graduate of Carmel High School, Brandon was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish, hike, scuba dive, & bike. This passion began as a youth growing up in Carmel Valley where he spent his days at the Little League Ball Park with his dogs, riding his bike with baseball glove on handlebars, catching blue-belly lizards, and fishing Carmel River. As a Valley Kid he also developed a passion for heavy machinery and an unparalleled work ethic that became the tinder and spark to ignite an impressive career as an excavation engineer. His mother credits his early affinity for Tonka Trucks as the ultimate catalyst for his May 2000 launch of R&B Excavating. While building his business from the ground up, Brandon demonstrated his tremendous business acumen, making R&B Excavating into a successful and reputable enterprise in short order. To all whose lives he touched, Brandon was known for his positive energy and steadfast reliability, as well as his straightforward honesty and his sharp, at times biting, wit. Above all, he was a tenacious protector of family and friends. He is survived by his wife Tami Hardisty, his parents Nanci Lambert (Mother), Dave Hardisty (Father), Rod Lambert (Step Father), his siblings Daryl Lambert, Joleen Skinner, Rodney Lambert and Tristin Cloer, his children Drake Hardisty, Brianna Lackey, Shane Lackey and Kyle Lackey and many cousins, aunts and uncles. A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 PM on April 16th at Gardener Ranch located at 114 W. Carmel Valley Road.
