Obituary of Douglas Brady

It is with great sadness & broken hearts that we announce the passing of Douglas Alan Brady, 52, June 19, 2017. He passed away peacefully in his home with his family by his side after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born July 28, 1964 to Max & Edwina Brady in Alamosa, Co. He grew up in Manassa, Co. He was currently a Troubleman at PG&E, a job he was very proud of and was a dedicated employee for over 33 years. He was most proud of being a dad to his daughters. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family. His best days were spent at the lake pulling the girls on tubes or wakeboards. He was very involved with their many sporting activities usually, as a coach. He was known to many as "Coach Doug." He leaves behind his loving wife Sherry and the two most precious girls in his life, his adoring daughters Lyndsey & Ashley, his mother Edwina Brady, Manassa, siblings Steve (Trenna) Brady, Monte Vista, Maxine Rodriguez, La Jara, Richard Brady, McKinney Texas, Brent Brady (Glenda), Farmington, New Mexico, Sharri Headrick, Bloomfield, New Mexico, Jeff Brady, Provo, Utah and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Max Brady and nephew Larry Deb Vernon. Services will be Friday June 23 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1024 Noche Buena St., Seaside, California. Viewing will be held at 10:30 am with services at 11:30 am. Burial to follow at El Carmelo Cemetery in PG. A reception following the burial will be held at the church for family and friends to share memories. The family would like to thank Dr. Jerome Rubin (Pacific Cancer Center) and Dr. Kevin Kim (San Francisco Bay Oncology) and their staff for the wonderful care and compassion given to Doug and his family. Doug was truly an amazing husband, father, son, brother and friend to all who met him. He will be greatly missed by so many. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to support his 2 daughters' continued college education (something very important to Doug).
